Sharpe series by B. Cornwell
Currently reading the Richard Sharpe series by Bernard Cornwell.
I friend of mine, who is a Napoleonic time reenactor in a Highland regiment of the British army (Thanks, Carl!!)recommended the series to me and was kind enough to lend me not only the first three novels but also "Sharpe`s Companion", which provides a lot of background information. So thanks again, Carl!
I don`t know yet, if I`m going to read all 21 novels of the series in a row - maybe I`m not that crazy... But I really enjoyed the first two and am currently starting the third.
So look forward on some book recommendations about the career of Richard Sharpe, doing his duty in His Majesty`s army from 1793 until after Waterloo...
You`ll find the novels at amazon.de:
